In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone was the inmate playing "Lorna" Morello as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's diploma from NIDA. Yael, despite her young years, has had the privilege of learning from one of Australia's best storytellers. Yael has had a long and successful career working in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's new life in New York City began when her production was critically acclaimed at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is located within Bushwick Brooklyn and works from there to support innovative creativity, new writing.
